Adventure is my middle name!

Not really. It's Esther. Courtney Esther is my name, and trust me, I'm not as girly as that sounds. As much as my mother wishes I was.

I'm just an average 19 year old uni student from Perth who has recently discovered the joys of being flat broke. Luckily, I don't like partying or I would be twice as broke.

I was born in Perth and have lived here my whole life. Contrary to popular belief, I think Perth is very beautiful and very liveable if you persist. However, the wide open land surrounding Perth is about ten times more beautiful than anything you'll ever see, and I have fallen for it. Hard.

I'm a passionate and often times obsessive person. I'm a firm believer that everyone has options, no matter what the situation, and everyone should be supported in the choices they make; unless said choices have a negative effect on others or break the law. I also strongly believe that the government must do something NOW about finding a cure for childhood cancer. It is the number one killer of our kids today and receives the least funding. We can save the tatas, but we can also save the kids.

I started this blog because I wanted to share my love for my country with the world, and I wanted to give you all a glimpse of Western Australia through my eyes. It began because my friend and I realised one day that we could easily go driving to random locations without spending a lot of money (which is important when you're broke like us). So, we have decided to do weekend day trips, and we're going to see just how far we can push it in a day. I'm keeping a handwritten 'Adventure Journal' and I'll be transcribing all of the stories from the journal to the blog as they happen.
